Biography
Hady Boraey, born in Beheira, Egypt, in 1984, earned a BFA in 2005, an MFA in 2011, and a Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Alexandria, all with highest honors. He has participated in over forty group exhibitions in Egypt, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, and the UAE.
Boraey’s distinctive painting style creates a poetic and dramatic world, blending elements of fantasy and reality. Influenced by ancient Egyptian and Coptic art, his work features symbolic figures, birds, and cats. These subjects, though seemingly distant, convey emotions of anxiety, hope, and the quest for a better life. Boraey is a multi-award-winning painter and lecturer, recognized for his unique artistic vision.
