Biography
Rozita Sharafjahan, born in 1962 in Tehran, Iran, began her art education at the age of 15. She continued her studies and graduated with an MA degree from Tehran University in 1995. Rozita has worked in various mediums, including sculpture, painting, video, and interdisciplinary arts.
In 1999, she founded Azad Art Gallery to provide a space for young artists working in diverse mediums. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions, biennials, and art fairs both in Iran and internationally. Her works are part of the permanent collections of museums such as the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, the Berlin Museum of Film and Television, and the Museo Roberto Bilotti in Italy.
