Biography
Raana Dehghan, born in 1986 in Tehran, Iran, is a sculptor and painter living and working in Tehran. She earned her BA in Painting from Azad University of Tehran in 2013.
Rana’s art explores the transformation of objects after they lose their original function and return to being mere “matter.” She repurposes and modifies these objects from the everyday world, using them as tools for self-expression. Despite these alterations, the objects remain connected to their origins, challenging their usual definitions and purposes. Rana Dehghan has held many solo exhibitions and participated in various group shows, including Asia Art Week Dubai in 2019.
