Biography
Riham El Sadany, born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1978, is a renowned multimedia artist. She graduated from Helwan University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, an MFA, and a Ph.D. in Performance Arts.
Living and working between Egypt and the USA, El Sadany’s art draws on a diverse range of influences, including surrealism, the spontaneous style of Picasso, and the transformative works of Frida Kahlo.
Her mixed media art delves into dramatic fantasy, exploring the complex human psyche. El Sadany’s work often features women as central figures, portrayed as both strong and tender. Her compositions, rich in optical illusions and layered elements, blend reality and imagination, creating a powerful visual narrative that captures the seen and the unseen aspects of human experience.
