Biography
Ali Said was born in 1979 near the historical city of Rosetta on the north side of the River Nile in Egypt. He began his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria in 1997 and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Painting. He earned his Master’s degree in Painting from Alexandria University in 2012.
Since 2000, Ali has been an active participant in the Egyptian contemporary art movement. In 2003, he began working at the Fine Arts Museum in Alexandria as an assistant at the Mahmud Said Museum. Since 2014, he has been the director of the Fine Arts Museum in Alexandria, the oldest museum in the city dedicated to Egyptian modern art.
