Biography
Perry El Ashmawi was born in Bahrain in 1988 to Egyptian parents. She earned a BA in Fine Arts, specialising in Painting and Drawing, from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, in 2009.
Perry has exhibited her work in Montreal, Bahrain, and Dubai. She has been featured in the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition at the Bahrain National Museum for two consecutive years. Based in Dubai, she was selected for the 7th edition of the SIKKA Art Fair and also showcased her work at the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award Exhibition in 2017.
Inspired by contemporary and urban art, Perry draws influence from graphic and graffiti styles. As a practising artist exploring the regional art scene, she remains passionate about art for life.
