Biography
Leily Derakhshani, born in Iran in 1961, graduated from the School of Dramatic Arts with a focus on Sculpting and then majored in Sculpting at the College of Fine Arts in Iran. In addition to illustrating children’s books, she is a renowned painter. Her abstract and figurative works are marked by a delicate yet acute observation of life’s matters, creating a significant body of work on the Iranian artistic scene.
Derakhshani is a member of the Iranian Painters Society and the Persian Illustrators Association. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including in Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada.
