Biography

Fares Rizk, born in Cairo to a Palestinian-Jordanian family, studied fine art at Parsons School of Design, where he earned an M.F.A. He has since lived and worked in New York City and travels internationally for his art.
Rizk’s work is featured in prestigious collections, including The National Gallery of Jordan, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yinchuan, China, and the Palestine Museum in the USA. His art is also represented by Wadi Finan for Arts in Jordan and collected by Jordanian royalty as well as American celebrities, with his paintings displayed in the homes of the Jordanian ambassador in NYC and Washington, D.C. Rizk’s paintings capture fleeting moments, rendering them timeless and imbuing them with a poetic and spiritual essence. His style and use of color are often compared to those of Picasso and Matisse, whose work he has studied and admired throughout his career. Amidst global conflicts, Rizk finds peace through his art.
