Amin Akbari

Biography

Amin Akbari, born in 1989 in Bojnord, Iran, is a self-taught artist renowned for his innovative approach to installation art. His works, often created through an experience-oriented process, form intricate networks of interconnected pieces that invite audience interaction and reflection. Akbari’s solo exhibitions include “New Born Artist and Chigil’s Candle” (2017) and “The Outstanding Gardener” (2015) at Dastan’s Basement, Tehran, and “Small Green Leaves” (2013) at Mehrva Gallery, Tehran.

His selected group exhibitions include “Update” at Marking Dastan Gallery (2017), “Art Dubai” at Dastan’s Basement Booth (2016), and “Visage: The Private Collection of Fereydoun Ave” at Laajevardi Foundation (2016). He has also participated in “Centrefold Project: Spring of Recession” (2015), “Years in Review: Dastan and Sam Art” (2015), “Versous” (2014), “Inwards/Out” (2014), “Revolver” (2013), “Warm Up” (2012), and Arya Gallery exhibitions (2011). In 2013, he was awarded Image of the Year in Iran.
