Habib Farajabadi

Biography

Habib Farajabadi, born in 1982 in Iran, is a painter and sculptor based in Tehran. He employs various tools like nails, wood stock, forks, and brushes to create his vibrant acrylic paintings, which often resemble hieroglyphic signs or ancient calligraphy. Farajabadi works on both sides of the canvas, leaving parts raw and visible, and uses bright, strident colours along with dark atmospheres. In his sculptures, primarily made from wood and plywood, he combines colourful bodies with contrasting elements.

Farajabadi has showcased his work in solo exhibitions in Iran, the USA, Germany, and Australia. He has participated in group exhibitions in countries such as Iran, the USA, Germany, Denmark, and the UAE. His work has also been featured at international art fairs in France, Mexico, Denmark, Switzerland, and the UAE.
