Biography
Born in Abu Dhabi in 1978, Azza Al Qubaisi is a prominent Emirati artist known for her expertise in jewellery design, product design, and sculpture. She earned a BA in Jewellery Design from London Guildhall University and an MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from CERT, part of the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Al Qubaisi has exhibited her work widely both internationally and within the UAE, with notable shows including “Portrait of a Nation” in Berlin (2017) and the UAE National Day Exhibition at EXPO Milano (2015). Her art has been featured in publications and exhibited in cities such as London, Brussels, Cairo, and Morocco. She has been honored with awards such as the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur Award and the Emirates Woman of the Year Award.
In 2018, she took part in “Artists and the Cultural Foundation: The Early Years” in Abu Dhabi, and in 2021, her work was featured in “Art Space,” a collaboration between The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and ALDAR Properties.
