Biography
Aidin Xankeshipour, born in 1981 in Rasht, Iran, began painting seriously in his hometown in 1997. He holds a BA in Painting from the University of Sistan and Baluchestan and two MAs in Painting and Illustration from Tehran University of Art. For the past 16 years, he has taught drawing, painting, and print-making.
Aidin’s technique involves building the base with crosshatches, using precision drawing to clarify the subject, and then soft brush touches to blur it, blending foreground and background. He has held eight solo exhibitions with Dastan Gallery and has curated over thirty group and solo projects in the past ten years. His work has appeared in many group and solo exhibitions.
