Biography
Shaikha Al Ketbi, a multifaceted visual artist from the United Arab Emirates, engages in photography, drawing, and installation art. Her work delves into themes of self-exploration, often blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination. Inspired by vivid dreams, she crafts spontaneous, performative responses to diverse landscapes.
A graduate of Zayed University, Al Ketbi has showcased her work on an international stage, including the 2018 Arab Women Artists Now exhibition in London, Art Bahrain 2018, and the Armenia Art Fair 2018. Her contributions also include the 2016 Zayed University graduate exhibition and ‘Collectivity’ at Maraya Art Centre. As a fellow of the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nayhan Foundation Emerging Artists Fellowship (2016-2017), she co-founded the Public Art Collective, dedicated to advancing the dialogue on public art in the UAE.
