Biography
Born in the United Arab Emirates, Salama Al Mazrouie is an alumna of the School of Fine Arts at UAE University and a distinguished member of the Emirates Fine Art Society. Specializing in portraiture, Al Mazrouie’s evocative paintings reveal the essence of her subjects through a rich interplay of techniques and colors, a dynamic vitality she believes eludes photography.
A prominent figure in the UAE art scene, she has led workshops delving into watercolor, pastel, and oil painting. Her illustrious career includes over 80 exhibitions and the receipt of ‘The Arab Woman Award’ in 2013, honoring her significant impact on arts and culture. Al Mazrouie continues to reside and create in the UAE.
