Biography

Mohamed Khedr is an Egyptian artist with a wide range of influences on his artistic practice. Since graduating with a B.A. in Set Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, Cairo, in 1993, he has worked in computer graphics, interior design, product design, and painting.
Inspired by Egyptian design history and culture, Khedr combines various local inspirations with a contemporary aesthetic to create cityscapes of Egypt’s most popular streets and iconic public statues. His technique is almost photorealistic. His still life works have moved from representations of everyday objects to highly abstracted renditions.
Khedr is dedicated to providing artistic training to young adults while continuously seeking to develop his own work.
