Mirmohammad Fattahi

Biography

Mirmohammad Fattahi, born in Karaj, Iran in 1987, received a diploma in painting from the School of Fine Arts in Iran and a BA in painting from Soore Art University of Tehran. During his studies, he worked as a background artist for various magazines, companies, and publishers, and created books for the Iran Language Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. Fattahi’s work often focuses on the depiction of animals using pastel, watercolor, and oil, giving his pieces a vibrant yet realistic quality reminiscent of scientific illustrations. His art explores themes related to painting in Iran and the concept of death, using a variety of materials to harmonize ideas and forms.

Fattahi held his first solo exhibition at the House of Iranian Cartoon in 2014. He was a finalist in the Portrait of Animal section of the Golden Turtle contest and won second prize at the Drawing Festival of the Karaj Painters Artists Association. He has also participated in group exhibitions at notable galleries such as Etemad Gallery, Sanaty Museum, and Alserkal Avenue in Dubai.
