Biography
Kais Salman, born in Tartous in 1976, is a renowned Syrian painter. He earned a Bachelor of Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus in 2002, studying under artists like Safwan Dahoul. His paintings are held in collections across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
Known for his monochromatic abstract expressionism, Salman uses satire to critique societal issues such as greed, narcissism, and ideological extremism. His work addresses themes like political corruption, terrorism, consumerism, and digital voyeurism. Salman’s distinctive style and bold subject matter have established him as a leading figure in contemporary Arab art.
