Imed Jemaiel

Imed Jemaiel, born in Bizerte in 1965, teaches at the School of Fine Arts in Tunis since 1992. After initially studying sciences and briefly exploring medicine, he shifted to fine arts in 1986 after passing a competitive exam. Influenced by Dadaism, Jemaiel challenges traditional artistic norms. His exhibitions, starting from the early 1990s in Marseille, deconstructed engraving techniques, blending figures, traces, and textures to explore the intersection of plastic space and time. Teaching art since 1992, Jemaiel encourages students to draw on childhood experiences for creative inspiration.
