Biography
Born in Istanbul in 1994, Elif Fırat embarked on her artistic journey in 2013 at Mimar Sinan University’s Ceramic and Glass Design Department. Her sculptures poignantly explore the emotional aspects of the human condition, illustrating how our environment influences both our inner and outer selves. This practice serves as a personal catharsis for the profound issues that affect us all. Fırat’s works often feature a deliberate neutrality in gender and physical traits, a choice that encourages a broader audience to connect with the underlying message. Her figurative ceramics are especially notable for their stoic faces with closed eyes, embodying a sense of introspection.
