Biography
Ekram Tira, born in Tunisia in 1982, is a distinguished artist with a degree in Fine Arts specializing in engraving and a master’s degree in Sciences and Techniques of the Arts from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis. Since 2007, she has imparted her expertise as an art educator. Tira’s work is marked by a profound engagement with popular imagery and a critical reflection on consumer society. By deconstructing images from brochures and catalogs, she creates inventive new compositions, akin to visual anagrams, which manifest as hybrid forms evoking an alternate reality. Tira has showcased her work at The Spring of the Arts exhibition on two occasions and has also exhibited at the Mille Feuilles Gallery in La Marsa.
