Anas Albraehe

Biography

Born in Syria in 1991, Anas Albraehe currently divides his time between Paris and Beirut. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Drawing from the University of Fine Arts in Damascus in 2013. Following the onset of the Syrian war, he relocated to Lebanon and completed a Master’s degree in Psychology and Art Therapy at the Lebanese University in 2015.

Influenced by French artists such as Jean-Francois Millet, Jules Breton, Henri Matisse, and Paul Gauguin, Albraehe employs intricate compositions and a vibrant color palette to craft his vivid artworks. His intuitive use of color distinguishes his pieces from reality, creating a harmonious and imaginative play of shades. Despite his geographical distance from Syria, Albraehe remains deeply connected to his heritage, infusing his art with the vibrant aesthetics and emotional textures of his homeland.
